The Theatre of Dodoni |
Τhe theatre of Dodoni was one of the biggest theatres of ancient Greece,
with a capacity of 17,000 seats. Its cavea faces the valley that lies between
the mountains of Tomaros and Prophet Elias, a scenery that is awe inspiring.
The cavea has four landings and there are 9 rows of seats and another 15
on the upper landing, while it has a two-storeyed skene (stage).
During
the Roman era, the theatre underwent many changes, especially its skene
which had been made into an arena.
